Inside the app

A look inside CertX. Every option in plain view.

Screens from the workspace, as your team sees them: which engine reads a drawing, who decides that, and how you check, view and share the result.

Reading engine, per drawing

Claude or the built-in engine — your choice at every read.

When you start a read, CertX asks which engine to use. Preselected is the engine the drawing was last read with, otherwise your company’s default.

  • Claude (AI): highest accuracy, including scans and dense drawings; with the Butler. Customer data stays apart from the drawing: what you black out, Claude never sees — CertX reads the title block itself. Processed via the Claude API (Anthropic, USA).
  • Built-in engine: no AI provider, the drawing never leaves CertX. Very good with PDF exports from CAD; uncertain values go to review mode.
For administrators

One engine for the whole company — or a free choice.

Under Profile & settings → Reading engine, administrators set the default. With Lock for all users the dialog no longer appears: every drawing is read with that engine.

  • Not locked: users choose at every read, with the default preselected.
  • Locked: the drawing shows “Reading engine set by your administrator”.
  • Optional: CertX blacks out the title block and client data automatically before every Claude read.
  • Every change is logged: who, when and what.
Review mode

Uncertain values come to you, one at a time.

A click on 4 to review marks the uncertain values on the drawing, zooms to each one and opens it for editing. Save & next jumps to the next.

  • Every value keeps its confidence and its balloon on the drawing.
  • Nothing is final until you approve it.
View

See the drawing the way you need it.

  • Original / Anonymised: switch between the uploaded drawing and the redacted version.
  • Without balloons: hides every balloon for a clear look at the drawing.
  • Zoom in 10 % steps, or type a value from 25 to 600 %.
  • Download the current view.
Redact & share

Black out client data — before Claude or a supplier sees it.

Drag to black out, click to remove. Suggest client data finds company names, addresses, contact details, confidentiality notices, people and possible logos; Black out title block covers the whole block. Both run on our server, without an AI provider. Read with Claude afterwards and Claude gets only the redacted drawing — material, drawing number and tolerance from a covered title block are read on our server.

The RFQ goes to suppliers as a ready package:

  • Cover sheet with reference, part data and sender
  • The full characteristic list as a protocol, with fields for first article inspection
  • The anonymised drawing with numbered balloons
  • A confidentiality agreement with a confirmation field for the recipient
Letterhead

Your logo and address on every protocol.

Under Profile & settings → Letterhead you store your logo, company name and address once. CertX prints them on your inspection protocols and on the RFQs you send to suppliers.

  • Logo top right on every page: PNG or JPG, up to 2 MB.
  • Company and address in the footer, next to the date stamp: protocol no., inspection date, created, as of, page x of y.
  • RFQs carry the same logo and footer on every page, and your details as sender on the cover sheet.
  • Personal: every user keeps their own letterhead.
CertX Butler

Ask your workspace — and only your workspace.

The Butler sits top right in the header. It answers questions about your own drawings, inspection protocols and metrics, and explains how CertX works. Anything else it politely declines.

  • Sees only what you may see yourself, never another company’s data.
  • Read-only: it answers, it changes nothing.
  • Runs on Claude. Processed via the Claude API (Anthropic, USA). With the built-in engine as your company’s default, the Butler is off.
  • Answers in your interface language, German or English.

See it with your own drawings.

We walk you through CertX with one of your drawings, read with both engines.
